MIAMI - Secondo il sito internet della Cnn, erano 20 le persone a bordo dell'idrovolante precipitato ieri al largo delle coste di Miami Beach. Lo avrebbe riferito il comandante della guardia costiera di Miami, James Mays, precisando che al momento sono 19 i corpi recuperati e che le ricerche del ventesimo cadavere stanno andando avanti. Because of the reports that there was an explosion, the FBI sent agents to assist in the investigation but there was no immediate indication of terrorism or criminal intent, said Judy Orihuela, spokeswoman for the FBI's Miami field office.

NBC 6's Hank Tester reported that a witness said he saw the aircraft take off. He said both engines were emitting smoke, and then the plane exploded before hitting the water.
