RedHat sta aggiornando il tema Bluecurve per le prox versioni di Linux.

Icons
=====

* Reworked the entire icon set, now generated by XML configs and
icon sheets
* Multiple icon sizes are now available (not fully complete yet)
* All icons are now pixel optimized per size
* New mimetype file icons
* Updated stock icons
* Initial support for KDE stock icons (actions) now available (size
issues need to be sorted out, so it's not working quite yet)
* Gnome panel icons are 36x36 instead of 24x24 (for the time being,
at least...)

Window Decorations
================

* Window frame decorations have a new style
* Metacity theme implemented
* KDE's KWin theme needs to be updated still

Widgets
=======

* A few tweaks for the GTK+ theme configuration.
* Additional color schemes are now available for Bluecurve

There should be a lot of compile fixes here, along with updates for ia64, and the (painful) move of the 'name' entry out of the "struct device" that helps avoid unnecessary memory waste.

It's a lot of small stuff all over: nothing really stands out in diffstat, except the big update of the Zoran video capture driver, and the blkmtd driver - both updated from their respective development trees (and the ips scsi driver, but that was due to massive whitespace fixing).

Normal merges with Andrew and arch maintainers (x86-64, ia64, sparc64, arm), and AGP updates (notably the merging of the ATI IGP). And network driver updates, ACPI and power management infrastructure.

As we all anxiously await the release of Linux 2.6, we hear speculations on the final date ranging from early September to late December. A fellow optimist from comhem.se has posted this graph showing predictions based on the kernel's current rate of progress. It was composed using the compile statistics from John Sherry of OSDL. This chart suggests a release date of the 12th of October.
