QSI SDW-082

Ho da poco comprato un notebook travelmate 4504 che e' fornito di un lettore masterizzatore DVD della Quanta Storage Inc. (www.qsinc.com.tw).
Posso masterizzare cd e dvd (in quest'ultimo caso solo dati o files dvix), ma non posso vedere nessun file dvd (film per intenderci).
Su altri forum ho trovato altre persone che hanno il mio stesso problema e sembra che sia legato al firmware associato al lettore cd. Il mio e' LX34 e dovrebbe essere sostituito con LX43, ma non 'e possibile incontrarlo in nessuna pagina web. L'unica cui spesso si fa riferimento e'http://mega.ist.utl.pt/~cfao/QSI-SDW-082-LX43.zip ma non funziona!!!
Qualcuno mi puo' aiutare?

can you send me the lx34 firmware?
I had it and my qsi dvdwriter worked ok. I stupidly changed to the lx43 you look for, and since then I can't burn.......
help!!!!

Ho scaricato per te il file con il firmware dal link che hai postato tu. Forse hai problemi col browser o il sito era momentaneamente down. Cmq guarda che se vuoi te lo spedisco via mail, son pochi kb, ci si impiega un attimo.

I don't really understand italiano, I'm portuguese, but of what I could make it, you tried to send me the firmware to a link, which I don't know what was.
please, send it by mail. have you any program to reverse the firmware?

I'll send u this mail immediately. It's just a zip file, open it and launch application (.exe). I haven't find any user guide, but I think that update procedure should be this:

Download and dezip the file
Place it on your desktop
Reboot an log on in safe mode
Start application and follow on screen instruction.

Now firmare should be updated

Reboot in normal mode and check version by Device Manager.

I'm not sure and I can't try 'cos I have not your device.

Let me know the results..
