tra le novità della nuova versione un visualizzatore PDF integrato,

sono più che soddisfatto di pdf-xchange viewer (in windows) per cui questa nuova funzione sarà la prima cosa che disattiverò

per linux invece sarà il benvenuto in quanto è da un po' che i pdf non me li apre più direttamente ma si ostina a salvarli (e poi me li devo aprire a mano)

ho seguito queste istruzioni:

You can disable the new viewer as follows: type or open the address about:config search for entry pdfjs double click on the entry pdfjs.disabled;false and it will toggle to true You can then set things up the way you had them before according to your choice and OS. Ta ta

purtroppo adesso i pdf me li SALVA e non li apre ecchecc... possibile che un utente debba fare tutta sta fatica per avere quello che VUOLE e non quello che gli viene IMPOSTO? una domandina prima del setup non potevano infilarla ste teste di betulla? "Vuoi il pdf integrato?" SI/NO porca eva, era così facile

adesso la gente deve scoprire come disattivare la roba, poi come riattivare quello che aveva prima

il mio consiglio: aspettate la 19.0.1 che FORSE ci darà questa possibilità

Io invece avevo abilitato il lettore PDF già in precedenza, molto utile per le letture "al volo".
Negli altri casi invece facevo anche io aprire il file con PDF X-Change.

Verifica da "Opzioni" -> "Applicazioni" le impsotazioni per i PDF, da li dovresti riuscire a gestirli come preferisci.

E' la nuova versione di firefox?

Si, questa è l'ultima versione in Italiano diciamo stabile, esistono versioni successive a questa release, ne ambiamo parlato QUI, ma al momento sono ancora in versione beta.

Tanto per fare chiarezza tra tante notizie inesatte e altre NON riportate:

If you are a user of Firefox you may have noticed that a new version is available already, bringing the version of Firefox on the stable channel to 19.0.2 The patch is a direct result of the Pwn2own exploit that was used by Vupen to exploit the Firefox web browser on Windows.

It is remarkable that Mozilla managed to create and release a patch for the exploit less than 24 hours after the results were announced. While it is certainly possible that the company got word about the exploit earlier than that, it is still a fast turnaround time for a security patch.

The Firefox 19.0.2 release notes highlight that this is the only change in this version of the browser. The release notes link to a security advisory page that offers the following additional information:

VUPEN Security, via TippingPoint’s Zero Day Initiative, reported a use-after-free within the HTML editor when content script is run by the document.execCommand()function while internal editor operations are occurring. This could allow for arbitrary code execution.

It also highlights that Thunderbird and SeaMonkey also received a fix to resolve the security issue.

The Firefox 19.0.2 release raises the version of all Firefox releases to 19.0.2. You may remember that the 19.0.1 update was only released to users of the Windows 8 operating system, while all other users of Firefox remained on 19.0..
