Alan Cox ed i brevetti

<p align="justify"><font size="2">Ha creato un pò di polverone la notizia che <span style="font-weight: bold;">Alan Cox</span>, responsabile dello sviluppo del kernel 2.6.x di cui esiste un ramo *ac* proprio su <a target="_blank" href="http://www.kernel.org/">kernel.org</a> ed anche importante avvocato dedicato all'OpenSource, non sia stato invitato al meeting che si terrà nel Regno Unito il 14 Dicembre e che avrà come tema appunto i brevetti software. La motivazione è ufficialmente la sua avversione alla brevettabilità del software, egli stesso commenta:<br><i>&quot;[...]It seems the patent lobby are desperately keen to continue running their government powered propoganda without wanting to hear the truth&quot;</i>. Di contro i responsabili del &quot;non invito&quot; commentano che non è un meeting ma un incontro per l'esposizione di ciò che il governo inglese ha GIA' deciso di fare.</font></p>
