Windows XP ho i detonator 40.82 Windows 98 ho i detonator 41.09 Risultati: 3D Mark 2001 Windows XP: 6048 Windows 98: 6049 3D Mark 2000 1.1 Windows XP: 8813 Windows 98: 9387 Quello che ho notato è stato un incremento notevole di punteggio con 3D Mark 2000 da Windows XP a Windows 98. NVIDIA Cg
NVIDIA sent me word that they've made available a demo (115MB) of the sweet looking futuristic action game from Yeti Studios, Gun Metal. Utilizing features from Microsoft's latest DirectX 9 and NVIDIA's Cg (C for Graphics) language: CG support for all materials CG: 'Motion Blur' effect for the plane, proportional to speed CG: Realistic 'Water Refraction' effect CG: Further effects under consideration DX9: 'Occlusion Query' for optimised rendering and realistic flare effects DX9: Use of 128bit floating point buffers, enabling use of high contrast colour and overflows (such as retina bleach) Gun Metal from Yeti Studios is a futuristic action packed experience where you take control of the fully transformable, prototype combat vehicle known as the Havoc Suit. Use the Havoc Suit to battle ground based enemies, or transform in the blink of an eye into an agile jet and take on aircraft in high-speed dogfights. Either way, get ready for mind-blowing action and out of this world graphics. Gun Metal is one of the first available games to utilize Cg during its development. By doing so, Yeti have been able to create a wealth of movie-quality eye-catching special effects that bring the gaming experience to another level of excitement. Seems this demo will not work on an ATI card ============== Posted by Matt Burris on December 23rd, 2002 - Monday 7:17 am There's a thread over at Beyond3D with information on using a program to force the Gun Metal demo to work on non-NVIDIA cards like ATI's. From Thomas of Tommti-Systems: I've released a new version of 3DA, if someone want to try the demo on his 9500 / 9700. Its a dx8 game, so how can they use dx9 features, maybe in the full version.... It basicly checks some supported texture formats/frame buffer combinations, which the geforce and the ref. rast. supports, but it never uses this combination, becuase it runs without errors on the radeon 9500/9700, I just had to return different results in the "check if" phase. |

"Bug nelle nuove DirectX 9? - Domenica 29 Dicembre 2002 - 17:14 - Antonio" ...

A quanto pare sembra tutto ok.
