Ciao ragazzi... per problemi di spaazio devo spostare la cartella documants and settings dal disco su cui ho istallato winxp (e:) al mio nuovo disco da 40gb (d:)

come faccio a fare ciò?!?!?

local_machine > software > Microsoft > Windows NT > Current Version > ProfileList

Provo a cambiarle... vediamo cosa succede....

cmq se hai 2 diski rigidi puoi convertirli tutti e 2 in NTFS e fare una partizione unica ke comprenda i 2 diski

cioè??? Intendi unire dui dischi fisicamente divisi in un'unica unità?? E come faccio a capire poi quali files sono su uno e quali sull'altro???

Ciao, vorrei spostare anch'io la cartella "documents e settings" in una partizione diversa da quella di Windows. Mi dici come hai fatto?

Con X-Setup (http://www.xteq.com) puoi spostare:

Personal Files - C:\Document and Settings\tuonome\Documenti
Program Data - C:\Documents and Settings\tuonome\Dati applicazioni
Desktop - C:\Documents and Settings\tuonome\Desktop

"Personal Files" specifies the folder where your files from Lotus 1-2-3, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Corel Paint and so on are located.

"Program Data" is used by new applications from Microsoft for hidden but customized files. For example, Internet Explorer stores the Quick Launch bar links there.

"Desktop" is the folder used for nearly all files on your workplace, except some system icons (e.g. trash can).

Nonché puoi spostare le seguenti cartelle (in inglese):

"Downloads" specifies the default folder for downloaded files from the Internet (normally used only by Internet Explorer).

"Favorites" specifies the folder where your Internet Links are located (normally used only by Internet Explorer).

"Cookies" specifies the folder where persitent data from Websites is located (normally used only by Internet Explorer).

"History" specifies the folder where the history files are located (e.g. last visited sites etc.).

"My Pictures" is a generic path for pictures.

"Media Files Root" specifies the root folder for all types of media files.

"My Media" specifies where you normally save your media files.

"Graphics" specifies where your graphics are saved (*.BMP, *.PNG and so on).

"Web Graphics" specifies where you save your work that is somehow related with the Internet.

The "Start Menu" entry refers to the icons that appear at the top of the Start Menu (not Windows XP Start Menu), and the "Programs" entry refers to the options in the "Programs" / "More Programs" submenu of the Start Menu.

"Setup Folder" specifies where the files of your Windows Setup are located.

"Startup" specifies the folder where all included links and programs are executed when Windows starts.

"Cache" specifies the folder for TEMP files that should be cached. For example, Internet Explorer uses this folder for its downloaded HTML and image files.

e molto altro ancora...
Prima di apportare le modifiche salva sempre la tua configurazione, e segui attentamente le istruzioni del programma.

Ciao :)
