qualcuno lo aveva spiegato tempo fa ma non riesco a ritrovare il post

Non mi ha risposto nessuno... sigh, quindi mi sono dovuto arrangiare da solo e ho risolto con una piccola ricerca su google. Visto che in molti hanno letto il msg la posto. E` in inglese ma non credo che questo sia un grosso problema:

To edit the Add/Remove Windows Components dialog:
1. First, make a copy of sysoc.inf (found on the hard disk at \winnt\inf\sysoc.inf) before proceeding so that you can restore the initial configuration if necessary. Give the copy a different name, such as sysoc2.inf.
2. Open the Sysoc.inf file. Each line of text in the file represents a component that can be displayed in the Add/Remove Windows Components dialog.
3. Delete the word HIDE for any component that you want to see in the dialog (do not erase the commas).
4. Save the Sysoc.inf file, then close it, and reboot your computer.
The Add/Remove Windows Components dialog will now display the items you want.
To uninstall components using Add/Remove Windows Components:
1. Click the Start button, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
3. Click the Add/Remove Windows Components button in the left column.
4. Select a component, and then click Details to see items included in the component.
5. To uninstall a component, or an item within a component, click to clear the check box next to the item name.

poi vai in C:\WINNT\Programmi\

e cancelli manualmente quello che resta .... ora non ricordo il nome ESATTO della cartella visto che è stato la prima cosa che ho tolto! :D qualcosa tipo "messanger"
