Mentre AutoGK si appoggia a VirtualDub e a XviD o Divx utilizzando la versione VFW dei suddetti codec, e come contenitore usa AVI, AutoMKV presenta invece come scelta codec X264 o XviD o WMV (nella versione 7/8/9/VC1), entrambi però nella loro esecuzione da riga di comando (x264.exe e XviD_EncRaw.exe). Come contenitore è invece possibile scegliere tra MKV, MP4, WMV o AVI. (Altre info). ADDED: Now AutoMKV create a muxing.bat even for M2TS muxing. For hand made facilities (suggestion by survivant001)
ADDED: In case of M2TS muxing AutoMKV will compute an overhead of 6% on bitrate (suggestion by survivant001)

FIXED: "Do HQ First Pass" wasn't applyed when encoding to XivD (thansk to XhmikosR)
