Catalogatore di file

Quando si hanno tanti interessi è difficile salvare i documenti in cartelle e sottocartelle e poi sperare di trovarli in breve tempo e con sicurezza.
Sono alla ricerca di un software che possa catalogare dei file di diversa natura (pdf, doc, xls, txt, ecc.) tramite dei tag (4 o 5 per documento) in modo da poter fare delle ricerche rapide in base alle parole chiave.

@ Thor: grazie per il consiglio, avevo già fatto una ricerca, i risultati però riguardano tutti programmi specifici per alcuni tipi di file (musica e immagini) e non un qualcosa di generico e con le caratteristiche di cui ho bisogno...
Speravo che qualcuno usasse un qualcosa di compatibile alle mie esigenze ;)
